Lebanon

Together with our partner organization UM in Lebanon, Wafaa has been able to support some important projects in that country. Lebanon has been flooded with refugees from Palestine and Syria. It is our prerogative to support and help people in need, mostly women and children, who have been suffering and enduring difficult life in refuge.

Early Breast Cancer Detection Campaign

Together with our partner organization UM Association in Lebanon we have implemented the project and campaign on the early detection of breast cancer for women of 40 years and more. The women were of different nationalities and the project took place in Beirut and Tripoli. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our supporters, without whose help it would not be possible to carry out this project.

For the occasion of the World Mental Health Day, Wafaa Vienna, in cooperation with UM organization in Lebanon, organized a workshop “Art Therapy”. Young people of different ages and nationalities participated in this fun and important workshop.

Early Breast Cancer Detection Campaign

On the occasion of the International Day of Peace, Wafaa Vienna, in cooperation with the organization UM in Lebanon, organized an early breast cancer detection campaign in many Lebanese cities and regions: Beirut, Saida, Tripoli, Bekaa Valley. The activity was targeted for women of different ages (32 to 50 years old) and  different nationalities.

Ein El Helwi Camp Entertainment Activity with Kids

For the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, Wafaa Vienna organized an entertainment activity for the children in the refugee camp Ein El Helwi in Lebanon. These are  Palestinian children, who have spent their entire life in this refugee camp, and will, most certainly, spend most of their lives in a refugee camp. It was fun seeing their happy and worry-free faces.

Restaurant and Cafe People With Special Needs

Together with the UM Organization in Lebanon, Wafaa Vienna honored Mrs Jacqueline Makary (Em Samaan) to thank her for her great idea to open a restaurant and café for the people with special needs, and in doing so offering them this unique job opportunity.
